Medical Microdermabrasion
This is an excellent and safe treatment that makes skin look softer, more radiant and youthful. Crystals are directed at the skin through a special hand piece and removed through a vacuum process. The process causes cleansing and stimulation of new collagen growth hence giving the skin its supple appearance.
The procedure lasts about 30 minutes for the face but can last up to an hour if the neck and upper chest are included. The effects can be felt even after one treatment however best results are obtained with a course of treatment (four to six at approximately two weekly intervals).
Microdermabrasion is often combined with collagen stimulating products and skin peels. The beauty of the treatment is that it is painless with no down time hence it has been labelled the 'lunchtime pill'.
Conditions that can be treated with MD include acne and acne scars, pigmentation, sun damage and oily skin.

Skin peels
We are delighted to offer a skin peel (Agera Rx) that deeply penetrates the layers of skin without causing significant irritation and hence no down time. The procedure combined with home care products stimulates the skin cells to provide more collagen and elastin resulting in a firmer more youthful skin. Best results are obtained with a course of peels in gradually increasing strengths with at least two weeks interval between treatments. The procedure lasts about thirty minutes and can be combined with microdermabrasion.

Muscle relaxing injections for facial lines and wrinkles
A highly purified protein (botulinium toxoid) is injected into overactive facial muscles causing them to relax and/or disappear. The effects are seen after 7 - 10 days and a complimentary review is offered at 2 weeks. Treatments can last up to 3-6 months depending on the individual.
Restylane dermal fillers
Restylane is a filler derived from hyaluronic acid (a naturally occurring sugar present in most tissues of the body) and is designed to smooth lines and creases and restore volume. A small amount of restylane gel is injected under the skin adding volume and reducing creases. It can also be used to enhance the contours of the face and mouth and increase the volume of the lips. The procedure is quick and the results are immediate. No skin tests are required prior to the treatment. It has the benefit of being long lasting but not permanent.
